Thoughts on the worldwide pre-release of my set of 4 books today, the 21st of December, 2018.

WORLDWIDE RELEASE (soft launch) OF MY SET OF 4 BOOKS TODAY, 21st December, 2018 – ‘Across Borders’ & ‘Entwined Lives’ (Novels); ‘Existences’(short-stories); ‘Fragments’ (poetry): The covers/blurbs are in the links below as well…

As I mentioned, this is just a soft launch now, to be able to bring the books to you before Christmas weekend…so that everything else will follow in a few days or weeks at most. We had listed two of the ebooks that were ready, but removed them and decided to wait as it will be better that all 4 go up together. We are trying our best to get all the ebooks developed quickly but do not want to rush it either – it is 12 different ebooks (different continents) together for 4 titles.

Moreover the international links will take time to go live as the various sites are still in the process of activating them. In India – the Amazon India and Flipkart links are not yet live. They both take time to reflect although it’s been more than two weeks now that they’re queued.

So yes, all these online sites will be active worldwide by year end…and in stores after the formal release events in India.

But you my friends have the option of booking your copy directly from the web links above right NOW to get the initial copies of the books soon. I hope you will read the books and spread the word around…as no amount of promotion is good enough like word of mouth references. 🙂

I’m very pleased to bring to you all that I have wanted to say – after two decades of corporate assignments, about life and experiences as a woman in progressive India. Even if they might not be the views you’ve imagined or have been made to believe – where women are always subjugated or under veil and live amidst snakes, elephants, harassers, rapists, male patriarchy and deadly diseases. All of these detractors to our empowerment exist, but as much as in any part of the world.

Through my books, I’m going to show you how women of India are empowered and independent too, but by the choices we make with self-belief and self-empowerment.
I’m glad that I didn’t have to curtail or be restricted on anything I’ve wanted to say or project in my writing, in fear of the books crossing a particular word/page count or in promoting stereotypes of all genders, and patriarchy – to be commercially viable and prosperous, irrespective of social responsibility, as with traditional publishing in India.

I have been true to myself in all my varied job assignments and to you my readers in the last 12 years I’ve written in the public space on various blogging platforms. And I continue to be, in everything I write. I could write well since I was a child, as my English teachers will vouch – but then I felt I didn’t have much to say to the world – till I’d lived about half my life, taking on a variety of challenging assignments/experiences that came my way. How can you have any depth in what you write – without life experiences? That’s how I have much to say now and with much conviction!

It’s high time we change the pitiable narrative of women in India! How many woman writers emerge from corporate India, where women are empowered! It was important for me to share all this with you, so you know what not to expect from my books…even if it’s Christmas time! 🙂

The cover images of the 4 books that are interrelated like in a series, but can be bought/read single as well are enclosed here.

All reviews/media coverage of my first book ‘Across Borders’ is in the link:…/across-borders-my-debut-…/

I look forward to your continued love and support that enables me to take this bold step today to release 4 books. Please follow my facebook page ‘Across Borders’, for updates, especially on the web links from where you can get the books.

Also wishing you and your family a warm Christmas and a fulfilling and joyous New Year!
